I am a friendly and proactive person who does what he says. I am a good and analytical listener which helps me get to the root of a problem. I have lived abroad and have passion for travelling. I have had some wonderful experiences in foreign countries interacting with the local communities. This has given me a real appreciation for cultural differences and how to respect others’ beliefs and values.
I had a career as a chef before training as an OT.
I qualified as an OT at Sheffield Hallam University in 2003. I received A grades on all placements.
I also hold a Post Grapduate Diploma in Accessibility and Inclusive Design which complements the service I can offer you.
After 18 months working in Trauma and Orthopaedics, I have worked for a Children’s Disability Service for Staffordshire County Council for 8 years conducting holistic assessments of need, writing plans, assessing for equipment, recommending minor and major adaptations and conducting moving and handling risk assessments and plans.
I am a trainer for TSA Training and Access Consultancy so I teach OTs how to carry out adaptations and the legislation supporting disability and building works.
